BEACH PARKING
 
Beach Stickers are free to all residents with proof of residency and vehicle registration. Watch Channel 12 for availability and dates. They can be obtained at Village Hall.
 
BREAKFAST BUNCH
 
The Breakfast Bunch is a group of volunteers who serve breakfast to any McKinley elementary school students (K-6) before school. The sites rotate throughout the school year. Participating locations are Zion Lutheran Church, Hungarian Reformed Church, and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. This is free to everyone, but monetary donations can be made to Betty Medgyesi, Program Director, (440) 357-5203.

MUNICIPAL INCOME TAX
 
 
All persons earning income in the Village and businesses and residents with taxable income are subject to the 2% Municipal Income Tax. However, Fairport Harbor residents are granted a 100% credit for municipal income taxes paid to other communities up to 2%. Village residents with earned income must file an annual return with the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.), regardless of whether or not taxes are owed.

Call R.I.T.A. for questions regarding the payment of municipal income taxes and filing of returns at 1-800-860-7482.

Residents must have a permit before removing trees in the tree lawns. This no-fee permit can be obtained by writing the Tree Commission at 220 Third Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio 44077. Tree trimming does not require a permit. Tree removal and trimming must be done at the expense of the homeowner. The Tree Commission does fund (100%) the planting of new trees. The Village will care for the new tree for one year, after which the resident is responsible for caring for the new tree. Meetings are held at the Fairport Village Hall, 220 Third Street, on the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. For additional information, contact the village hall at (440) 352-3620. Send any requests in writing to The Tree Commission at 220 Third Street.
