Finnish Heritage Museum – Preserving and Perpetuating Finnish Cultural Traditions
The Finnish Experience:
The Finnish Heritage Museum
The Finnish Heritage Museum gallery has changing exhibits throughout the year telling the story of Finnish heritage and various cultural traditions by displaying artifacts and providing information relating to this important history. The museum allows visitors the opportunity to learn why the Finns immigrated to northeast Ohio, particularly Fairport Harbor. Arriving here in the mid to late 1800's, they brought with them their customs, work ethic, religious and moral beliefs.
